put a rag soaked in hot water on the back of the area that is dented for a little while then remove it. it will shrink the canvas when it dries.....good luckHow to repair a oil painting that has been dented in but not torn?
I painted in thick layers, it looked exsactly the same as if it was not dented
I used a steamer to repair mine, gently
