How to get oil based paint to wash out of your hair!!!!?

My husband spray paints machinery a bright yellow oil-base paint after completing a project.

He tried a product (I bought) made by Avalon Organics. The one that really got the stuff out of his hair was their Lemon Claryfing shampoo (contains lemon oils). Another good one is their Rosemary.

Depends on how much paint you have in your hair. Vast clumps or a spinkle. Clumps, try the above-mentioned oil treatment first.

When I paint a room, I wash it, use a heavy conditioner and don't worry about it - it always comes off eventually. How to get oil based paint to wash out of your hair!!!!?
you better ask a hair salon as things like acetone and mineral spirits are really really dangerous to inhale or get in your eyes.

It's even possible that they can wash it out and ensure that the chemicals stay out of your eyes. How to get oil based paint to wash out of your hair!!!!?
Everyone here has good ideas. I found this one link that suggests calling the store where you bought the paint for suggestions. A tiny bit of paint remover can also be carefully deployed. The key is to use only a TINY amount to avoid harming your hair. Always read the bottle of paint remover to be sure it is safe for hair or skin.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!鈥?(this is Katie by the way...) HA!
i dont think it will just wash out cuz oil base isn't water friendly. you might have to kind of scrape it off strands of hair, like with your finger nails. if you have a bottle of Goo

Gone read the directions to see if its safe to use on hair, but try googling this question to be on the safe side.
Before oil paint has completely dried, it can be washed away with soap and water. So you need to shampoo your hair before the paint dries, the sooner the better. Oil paint actually takes days to dry, at least a week to dry completely, so I assume you didn't leave paint in your hair that long...

Use lots of shampoo of course, because water alone won't take out oil!
Get oil-based paints out of your hair with an olive oil soak. Oil-based paints are the most difficult to remove, and may take some patience; however, olive oil is a gentle and natural moisturizer that will actually condition your hair while removing paint.

Step 3:

Apply a generous amount of olive oil to the paint in your hair, and massage with your fingertips. Continue applying oil and massaging until you begin to feel the paint flaking away. When the paint begins to come away on it's own, use a fine-toothed comb to help it along, reapplying oil as necessary.

Step 4:

Soak larger clumps of paint by saturating the hair with olive oil and then tying a piece of plastic wrap around the drip. Allow the oil to set for an hour or two before removing the paint with a fine-toothed comb. Wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner as usual.

Hope this helps!
