Being a painter, i am working more and more with oil paint. Can anyone help me on how to paint from clothes???

Don't wait till it dries because than it is very hard to get it out. But wet oil paint can be removed with naphta soap. Just get the area of the cloth wet rub a lot of soap on it and wash it. Or wash it by hand. Naphta soap always works for me but it takes some work to get the paint out. Naphta does not destroy the clothing like turpentine and other solvents do. It is also good for cleaning brushes. You can buy this at most grocery stores . phelts naphta soap

Hard to get it out once it's in there. Try turpentine too. Best practice really is to wear some sort of apron and even some of those disposable latex or plastic gloves to limit your exposure to the paint. Also try using odourless solvent. It has less toxic fumes than turpentine. It needs caution too however as, being odourless, you can be breathing in more than you intend. Best to work in a well ventilated space with good protective gear.Being a painter, i am working more and more with oil paint. Can anyone help me on how to paint from clothes???
The paint will not come off, no matter what you do. You'll just smudge it and dig it further into the fibers of the fabric by trying to get it out. Acrylic and oil paint are permanent and often used to paint images on clothing because of it's steadfastness. I have used both for painting on fabric (though the acrylic is the best route to go with this just because of the oils in oil paint. Not as clean.)

I usually wear older clothing when I paint, along with a canvas apron. I use the apron to wipe off excess paint from my brushes while I paint (it looks like a work of art in itself! LOL!) and it also protects my clothing. But if I do happen to get paint on my clothes, it doesn't bother me much because I'm wearing the older clothing.
try kerosene
